What does Claimondo cost?
For you: €0. No registration fee, no placement fee, no invoice afterwards.
Why is it free?
Because it is not you who pays us, but our partners. Expert assessors pay us a placement fee for jobs that come through Claimondo — much as a business pays for an advertisement. Nothing is deducted from your compensation: we keep nothing back, take nothing off and never send you an invoice.
And the expert report itself?
After an accident that was not your fault, the opposing liability insurer covers the cost of assessing the damage — expert fee, lawyer, towing. That is not goodwill but law (§249 BGB). You assign the fee claim to the assessor and pay nothing up front.
When can costs still arise?
So that nothing catches you out — three cases in which the other side does not pay, or does not pay in full:
- Minor damage below roughly €750: insurers usually accept only a repair estimate here, not a full report.
- Shared fault: costs are split according to your share — at 50 % contributory liability, by half.
- Your own fault: then your comprehensive insurer pays, or you do.
